Gender Equality Campaign for Ireland's Youth

Young women make up about half the youth population in Ireland. These young women find themselves disadvantaged, unequal, under represented, sexually exploited and underpaid by virtue of nothing more than their gender due to historical, traditional, cultural and societal circumstances. The National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI) is a NGO that has decided to combat this problem with a participatory communication campaign. NYCI has planned a three year program to increase female representation across the board in both programs and policies.
